To the editor:
I urge Town of Manlius voters to join me in voting for Nancy Durkin for town supervisor in the November election.
As a lifelong resident of the Town of Manlius, I feel it is time to bring diversity of age, sex and political party to the town government. A variety of perspectives will make this town a better place for our families.
Nancy’s integrity and passionate commitment to the community will bring welcome changes in increasing efficiency and transparency to local government. Her communication and organization skills are second to none. She will engage residents, listen and bring a collaborative approach to the town.
I have known Nancy for 20 years as a true community leader. She was a teacher for 34 years, and also served at ESM Teachers Union president. Her leadership skills have also been evidenced as chair of the Board of the Fayetteville Free Library, chair of the Board of the Fayetteville-Manlius A Better Chance (ABC) Program, chair of the Manlius Democratic Committee and a member of the Greater Manlius Chamber of Commerce. Nancy’s skills, dedication and experience will bring much needed change to town government.
I strongly encourage voters to cast your ballot for Nancy Durkin for town supervisor on November 7.
