To the editor:
The village of East Syracuse is home to some of the most inequitable tax valuations in the county. Errors in Manlius Street/ Hartwell Avenue “Main Street” assessments range from 18 to 52 percent resulting in taxes being disproportionate by the same amount.
After having my taxes reduced 35 percent by way of tax certiari, which cost $20,000, one would think the town tax assessor Jean Rayfield would have addressed the situation. Instead she, Ed Michalenko, Jamie Frank and the rest of the town of Dewitt yes men simply continued with business as usual. Village of East Syracuse and Town of Dewitt residents beware — you are not taxed equally nor are you taxed fairly.
By the way, don’t call Dan Liedka or Robert Tackman, they want nothing to do with it.
