BALDWINSVILLE — Even though the weather has improved, there will still be those rainy days that beg for just sitting on the couch watching a good movie. Or two!
The library now has many Binge Box DVD sets. These movies are organized by type so if you are in the mood for horror, there is a Stephen King collection that includes: “It” (2017), “Pet Sematary” (1989), “The Shining” (1980), “The Dark Tower” (2017), “Misery” (1990), and “Carrie” (1976).
One especially interesting Binge Box is the 1980s Imagination. These movies are picked for their ingenuity in the filming, story or characterization. The movies in this binge box include “Goonies,” “Beetlejuice,” “The Dark Crystal,” “Labyrinth,” “Weird Science,” and the original “Ghostbusters.” That’s one wild and creative ride.
Another great collection to avoid the wet weather is musical biopics. These feature length, acclaimed films offer a glimpse into the private worlds of some iconic musical artists. Included here is “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “The Doors,” “Ray,” “Rocketman,” “Straight Outta Compton,” and “Walk the Line.”
Other Binge Boxes in the Baldwinsville Public Library include classics, romance, westerns, Eddie Murphy movies, the ultimate Tom Cruise, comedies, and classic children’s movies like “Charlotte’s Web” and “Curious George.”
Pick up your choice of Binge Box at the circulation desk. You can place one on hold through your online account then pick it up through curbside from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. or in the vestibule at regular library hours.
