The weekend is coming and you’re wondering what there is to do. Or perhaps your organization is planning an event, and you don’t want to conflict with other goings-on. Where can you look for up-to-date information about local events without having to go several websites? Check out the Greater Baldwinsville Community Calendar (baldwinsville-events.com). This site provides one-stop shopping to local church, civic and cultural events. You’re only one click away from finding out what’s happening around town!
Easy to navigate and updated continuously, the Greater Baldwinsville Community Calendar will not only tell you what is happening, but also where it’s happening and who is sponsoring the event. Details and contact information are provided as well.
The need for such an online resource was identified during a community conversation sponsored by the Rotary Club of Baldwinsville and Baldwinsville Public Library. In addition to Rotary and the library, members of other organizations came together to bring this project to fruition. Those organizations are the Greater Baldwinsville Chamber of Commerce, PACB-TV, Shacksboro Schoolhouse Museum, town of Lysander and village of Baldwinsville. We thank them for the time they dedicated to this project.
We want to recognize Kelly Rogers, a 9th grade student at Durgee Junior High School, who designed the community calendar logo. Kelly’s entry was one of several submitted by students who participated in our calendar logo contest. We’re pleased to be able to feature young, local talent on our website. Thank you, Kelly!
And we want to thank professional photographer Marianne Miles for generously giving us permission to use her beautiful photos in the rotating banner that features the Baldwinsville area at its best.
