The monthly Library Trivia Night at the Bull and Bear Roadhouse has been so much fun that the program staff at the Liverpool Public Library has added another round of games to the LPL’s schedule at the popular restaurant at 8201 Oswego St.
Tabletop Gaming debuts at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, and will return at the same time on Wednesday, Aug. 7.
The hour of friendly competition will be set up for players of all ages.
“We want it to include young professionals. Families. Gaming friends,” said B. Maggie Foster, LPL librarian and coordinator of the LPL Community Engagement department. “Friends who game together stay together.”
Cindy Hibbert of Community Engagement said the trivia nights at Bull and Bear have gone so well that the partnership is a natural for this event.
Games could include traditional favorites such as Scrabble and newer tests, such as tile game Tsuro.
Some of the games could come from the LPL’s Library of Things so patrons who fall for them can check them out with their library card.
“We can switch it up,” Hibbert said. “And we can take suggestions from the people there and bring their favorites the next week.”
“We can even offer suggestions how to take longer games and play them in a shorter style,” Fosters said.
