It’s a good time to bring the little ones into the Liverpool Public Library’s Children’s Room.
The annual Winter Scavenger Hunt is in full swing. Every hour the LPL is open through Sunday, Dec. 31, children 3 and above can check in with the librarian at the Children’s Room reference desk for the scavenger hunt form. Then they can partake in some family fun to solve some clues and learn about the library in the process. Once tasks are checked off, they can return to the desk to show the librarian and claim a prize as a reward.
From 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, the kids can also take a few moment in the room to read to a friendly dog from Paws of CNY, Inc. Remember that Paws to Read now runs at that time every Saturday morning, with a roster of interested and interesting dogs and canines rotating the slots to provide learning experienced for children of all ages.
The LPL will be closed Sunday and Monday, Dec. 24 and 25, for the holidays. Please enjoy the time with your loved ones.
On Wednesday, Dec. 27, Drop in LEGO will make the popular building bricks available for all ages from 3 to 8 p.m. in the Children’s Room.
