ESM automotive technology students will mark their annual raffle with a 1956 Ford F100 truck. Each year a car/truck project provides hands-on learning experience throughout the school year to auto technology students.
The truck will be a highlight of the ESM Automotive Technology Club’s 12th Annual Spring Cruise-in/Car Show from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 11 in the ESM Central High School student parking lot.
The June 11 car show will feature live music, a DJ, refreshments, games and raffle drawings for great prizes. All vehicles are welcome at the show — from hotrods to motorcycles. Bring a vehicle to show or just stop in to look at everything on display.
The 1956 Ford F100 being restored and raffled by students is Rainforest Green Metallic with a white roof. It has an unusual 8-foot bed with a custom-made solid oak floor and a 302-cubic-inch V8 engine. The raffle drawing is July 17. The truck will also be on display at the Syracuse Nationals in July and other local shows.
Raffle ticket information is available on the school district’s website, esmschools.org/raffle or by contacting technology teacher Ryan Beckley at [email protected] or 434-3313.
To order raffle tickets by mail, raffle tickets are $10 each, 3 for $25 or 15 for $100. Make checks payable to ESM Spartan Garage Booster Club and mail to: East Syracuse Minoa CHS, Department of Automotive Technology, Attn: Ryan J. Beckley, 6400 Fremont Rd., East Syracuse, NY 13057.
