Anita Mary (Loomis) Robertson, 77, of South Portland, ME, passed away Thursday, May 25, 2023, in Portland, ME, of Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Anita was born in Canandaigua, N.Y. on Feb. 21, 1946, to Allen and Mary Loomis.
She grew-up in Rushville, N.Y. She spent 20 years in Fayetteville as a fixture of the community, active in local business and politics. She was owner and operator of The Silver Nutmeg and Country Kitchen, a flagship retail and culinary destination for visitors seeking fine china, and luxury home goods. She moved to Boston, MA in 1997 where she continued working in home furnishings until retirement.
Her family will remember her independent spirit, sense of humor, willingness to always listen and love of artisans.
Anita is survived by her son (Chad Robertson of and his partner Erin Dunn of Portland, ME), her sister (Ginny Curtis and brother-in-law Paul Curtis of Bristol, VT), brother (James Loomis and sister-in-law Lucinda Loomis of Rushville NY) and many loving nieces and nephews.
