Anita (Nitzi) Jean Bonney, 81, died on Sept.14, 2022, at St.Peters Hospital in Albany after brief illness. She was born in Trenton, N.J., to Reed and Jeannette Bonney. She grew up in Ithaca, N.Y., and graduated from Pembroke (Brown University.) She had been living in the Albany area for several months in order to be near her younger sister. Before that she was a Cazenovia resident.
Nitzi worked for many years at MONY in Syracuse and later at Key Bank. She was a voracious reader and belonged to multiple book clubs for many years. She had a large collection of books which she donated to the Friends of the Cazenovia Public Library.
Nitzi was predeceased by her parents and by her brothers David, Allen and Douglas. She is Survived by her sisters Sandra (Peter) Kane and Judy (Joseph) Slack and her brother William (Glorian Sorensen) Bonney, nine nieces and nephews and twelve great nieces and nephews.
Services for Nitzi will be private.
