Beverly Brown Harlow, 90, of Cazenovia, died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2022, at Crouse Community Center in Morrisville.
She was a graduate of Northwestern High School in Detroit and the University of Michigan, where she excelled at Latin and creative writing. After some exciting years traveling through Indian reservations in the western United States and then living through the NASA space program in Houston, TX, Beverly settled down as a marvelous homemaker and inventor of G-Love Cookies. An avid reader, Beverly was a leader and member of several lively book groups.
An active Cazenovia community builder, she was a former president of the Cazenovia League of Women Voters and co-president of the Friends of the Cazenovia Library. Beverly also served on the board of the Friends of Lorenzo and the board of the Cazenovia Library, where she spent considerable time. In addition, she was an elder in the Cazenovia Presbyterian Church and an active member of the Cazenovia Club.
Beverly was predeceased by her husband, Peter N. Harlow Sr., in 2006. She is survived by a son, Peter C. Clinton of Jackson, WY; a daughter, Sally S. Harlow of Austin, TX; a son, Peter N. Harlow Jr. of Ogden, UT; and five grandchildren. She will always live in our hearts.
Services will be private. Contributions in Beverly’s honor may be made to the Cazenovia Public Library or the Stone Quarry Hill Art Park.
