Adriana C. Scholten, 92, of Baldwinsville, passed away unexpectedly on Jan. 6, 2022. She was born in Zeeland, Holland, in 1929.
She and her husband moved to the United States in 1953. They lived in Iowa for a short time before moving to Washingtonville, N.Y., where they purchased a dairy farm.
After owning farms in New Berlin and Middlebury, VT the family settled at their present Baldwinsville Dairy Farm. She was happy being a farmer’s wife, including cooking and baking pies and taking care of the family. Adriana enjoyed going to church and loved spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed spending time in the summer at her pool with the grandchildren.
Adriana was predeceased by her husband, Jacob J. Scholten. She is survived by her sister Nell Vermaas, four sons, Arie “Piels” (Maggie), John (Cary), Wayne (Bonnie) and Robert (Lisa); nine grandchildren, Jessica, Erica, Adam, Amanda, Kimberly, Jake, Billy, Robbie, and Joshua; 6 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, at Faith Baptist Church, 7312 VanBuren Road, Baldwinsville, followed by a 1 p.m. service at the church. Spring burial will be in Kingdom Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Greater Baldwinsville Ambulance Corps or Warner/Memphis Fire Department.
