Carol Ayer Mugglin, age 60, of Heath, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at her home. Carol was born July 11, 1960 in Syracuse, to the late John Lloyd and Helen (Allmuth) Ayer.
Carol was a 1979 graduate of Franciscan Academy and, in 1983, received a Bachelor of Arts degree in recreational therapy from Ohio University. Carol was a homemaker but also cleaned homes and worked at a veterinary clinic for many years. She was an avid animal rights activist who rescued many animals over the years. Carol enjoyed gardening and was a proud mother.
She is survived by three children, Erika Mugglin (Jake Ingalls) of Los Angeles, California, Derek Mugglin (Ciana Roush) of Blacklick, and Brett Mugglin (Stephanie Faddis) of Portland, Oregon; twin sister, Lori Ayer Dumais of East Aurora, N.Y.; sister, Betsy Ayer Macaulay (Ed) of Oneonta, N.Y.; brother, Jack Ayer (Kristen) of Milford, CT; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will host a memorial gathering from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 2, at 211 Walden Road in Heath.
