Edward F. McGinley, 81, of Cazenovia, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2020, at Crouse Hospital. Born in Chester, PA, Ed has been a resident of Cazenovia the past 19 years.
A graduate of the University of Delaware, Ed was a chemical engineer for 51 years with several large companies in the food packaging industry. He was a communicant of St. James Church in Cazenovia.
An avid sailor, he enjoyed sailing on Mystic Harbor, Connecticut and Cazenovia Lake. He will be remembered for his daily walks throughout the village of Cazenovia with his dog Abby.
He is survived by his wife Arlene Doney McGinley, his sons, Patrick (Catherine) of Texas, and Sean of Connecticut, his daughter, Susan Salcines (Craig) of Connecticut, seven grandchildren and two nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Emanuel McGinely. A celebration of Ed’s Life will be held at a later date. Contributions in his memory may be made to a local food bank or homeless shelter.
