Donald Andrew Olson, 89, of Fairfield, Ohio, formerly of Syracuse and Cazenovia, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2019, at Hospice of Hamilton, Ohio. Mr. Olson was born in St. Louis, MO, to Andrew and Katherine (Klund) Olson. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Fairfield, Ohio. Don’s free time activities included singing, dancing, sailing, hiking, camping and boating in the Adirondacks.
He is survived by his wife, MaryJane; four children, Dave Olson, Karen (Rick) Giardina, Debra (Dan) Haberek and Paul (Dawn) Olson; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Olson was predeceased by the mother of his children, Mary Catherine (nee Grant) Olson and a sister Betty (nee Olson) Griffo.
Memorial services will be held in the spring with burial at Evergreen Cemetery in Cazenovia. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati, P.O.
