Elaine Molyneux Secor, 86, of Cazenovia, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2019. She was born in Syracuse to Henriette and Robert Molyneux. After being educated at the Emma Willard School, she attended Syracuse University where she was a member of the Gamma Phi Beta Sorority, and graduated in 1955 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. While attending SU, she met her husband, Robert Secor, and they were married in 1955.
Elaine enjoyed being active in several organizations including the Syracuse Junior League, Syracuse Girls Club, Syracuse Symphony, Syracuse Stage, Century Club, The Cazenovia Club, The Limestone Hunt Club and Lorenzo Driving Competitions.
Elaine had a love for all animals, especially horses and dogs. There was never a time that she was without a dog or two. The love of horses brought Elaine to Cazenovia where she resided for 48 years enjoying polo games in Skaneateles, foxhunting and studying the art of dressage. She also had an assortment of tropical fish that became her pastime after horses. Above all, Elaine loved traveling to Europe with her husband and friends, along with spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Robert Secor; her son, Stephen (Judy Ransom) Secor of Tuscaloosa, AL; her daughter, Sandra (Vincent) Costello of Cazenovia; her granddaughters, Anna Costello of Oakland, CA, Ellen Costello of Las Angeles, CA and Danielle Secor of Tuscaloosa, AL; her grandson, Everett Secor of Michigan; her nieces, Deborah Jolly of California and Cynthia (James) Davis of Washington. Elaine was predeceased by her sister, Joan Molyneux.
