Julia P. Brooks, 69, of Morrisville, passed away peacefully at home Tuesday morning, June 4, with her husband by her side. She was born April 13, 1950 in Cortland to Stella M. Fairbanks Pierce and Luther L. Pierce III. Julia was a graduate of Cazenovia Central School, SUNY Morrisville and Central City Business Institute. She was employed for several years with Howard Johnson Service Corporation in Fayetteville, Cazenovia Lumber Company and Crouse Community Center as a bookkeeper. Julia enjoyed making crafts, bowling and NASCAR. She was a communicant of St. Joan of Arc Church and a former member of the Cazenovia Fire Department Auxiliary.
Julia is survived by her husband of 38 years, Frederick L. Brooks; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Luther L. Pierce IV and by her son, Jonathon J. Brooks.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, June 10, at St. Joan of Arc Church, 6 Brookside Drive in Morrisville. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Cazenovia.
