Timothy C. Johnson, 59, of New Woodstock passed away Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016, at University Hospital in Syracuse. Tim was born in Gloversville and was a graduate of Johnstown High School. He was a resident of the Cazenovia and New Woodstock area since 1977. In his work career, Tim was employed as a farmer with the C.S. Cook Farm in Cazenovia, was a groundskeeper for local families in Cazenovia, was a self employed carpenter and for several years was employed with Air Innovations in East Syracuse.
An avid NASCAR fan, he also enjoyed working on cars, riding motorcycles, gardening and caring for his dogs. Surviving is his mother, Nellie Johnson of New Woodstock, his father and step-mother Richard and Dorothy Johnson of Johnstown, his brother Stephen Johnson of Kingston, N.Y., his sister Nancy Jones of Crofton, Maryland, two nephews Jesse Hill and Lucas Hill and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Memorial services: 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2016, at the Ayer & Zimmer Funeral Home, 38 Sullivan St., Cazenovia. Calling hour: 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service.
