LETTER: N. Syracuse mayor is running for reelection

To the editor:

I am running for re-election for mayor of the village of North Syracuse.

Here are my reasons:

1) I enjoy being mayor. I often ponder why and the exact answer escapes me. We have accomplished quite a few things in my first term. Some are visible and some are behind the scenes but I believe progress has been made!

2) Unfinished business: We were fortunate to receive a grant from the state to improve Chestnut and Church streets. Utility work has already started and hopefully this fall we will be repaving the streets and doing some sidewalk improvements. We also have some vacant properties in the village; we are working with agencies that control them but the process takes time and we will continue.

3) I enjoy serving the people of the village.

I would like to thank you for voting me into office in 2015. I will continue to do my best to serve the residents of the Village.
