To the editor:
The town of Clay is a $27 million business, when you consider the general fund budget and all special district budgets. Any successful business executive will tell you that their most important asset is their employees, and further that a succession plan is critical for key employees in order to remain successful.
While the town is fortunate to have two extremely qualified Republican candidates seeking election to two open seats this cycle, the one key incumbent member seeking re-election, Naomi Bray, is essential to retain to ensure our town has continued success.
As a current board member and former supervisor, I can attest to Naomi’s breadth of knowledge, expertise and her diligent preparation for board meetings. She is most knowledgeable on planning issues and is the only member that has worked on the Three Rivers reclamation project with four different supervisors.
Naomi Bray is indispensable to have on our town board to guarantee there is a successful transition to new leadership in Clay. I am proud to endorse her and ask that you vote for Naomi Nov. 7.
