Every year at this time, I mail my Constituent Survey to every registered voter in the 129th District, which includes the city of Syracuse and the towns of Geddes and Van Buren. In addition to the survey, I also schedule Community Information Nights throughout the district so that I can hear directly from you about issues facing our lives, neighborhoods and the general community. This year the Van Buren Community Information Night will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, at the Van Buren Town Hall.
During the 2016 NYS Assembly legislative session, we will be introducing and debating important issues that will directly impact all of us. It is for this reason that I am asking you to take the time to voice your opinions on these important matters so that I may better represent your interests in Albany.
Knowing your concerns and priorities will help me make informed votes on your behalf. I intend to share the results of my survey with you. If you did not receive a survey in the mail, you can go to assembly.state.ny.us/mem/William-B-Magnarelli and complete it online. When you get to my webpage at the above address, click on Important Links and the survey is ready for you to complete.
During our Community Information Night we will be discussing topics such as the governor’s proposed budget, raising the minimum wage, paid family leave, school funding and the Consensus Report regarding merging the city of Syracuse and the county of Onondaga.
Your opinion matters to me. If you need further information, please contact my office at 428-9651 or email me at [email protected]
