Fenner — A 22-year-old Fenner man was arrested in Fenner by New York State Police yesterday after he reportedly shot a kitten with a rifle.
Michael W. Vreeland, of 4183 Mutton Hill Road in Fenner, was arrested Tuesday, Feb. 16, and charged with aggravated cruelty to animals, a class “E” felony. According to state police, Vreeland is charged with shooting his mother’s kitten behind their house with a .22 rifle.
Vreeland was arraigned in the Town of Eaton Court and remanded to the Madison County Jail on $500 cash/$1000 bond. He is scheduled to appear back in the Town of Fenner Court at 2:30 p.m. on March 7.
