BALDWINSVILLE — Tuesdays are the typical time for tacos, but the Lil Twisted Food Truck is shifting taco night to Wednesdays this winter. The food truck is moving its menu indoors at The Wood.
“This collaboration is the next phase in establishing The Wood as a year-round gathering place for entertainment, craft beers and a gastropub experience,” The Wood announced in a press release.
The first Lil Twisted Wednesday was Nov. 16 and featured Hawaiian pork tacos with mango-pineapple salsa; “Tings,” The Wood’s take on saucy chicken tenders; and a Thanksgiving-inspired burrito with turkey, tots, cranberry sauce and stuffing.
Heather Carr took ownership of the former Ironwood Golf Course in the fall of 2018 and reopened it as The Wood the following summer. The Wood has become a destination for live music, Rock and Roll Bingo Music Trivia and, of course, modern comfort food such as Reuben egg rolls, pot roast and Friday fish.
Krista Wharton is the owner of Lil Twisted, which specializes in Mexican fusion food. She is known for her Twisted Tots — loaded nachos with tots in place of tortilla chips.
“We hope that giving Krista a home-base for her delicious food will be welcome news for the Baldwinsville community. It’s exciting for me to get to partner with another entrepreneurial woman, with a lot of experience in the bar and restaurant industry between us,” Carr said.
“We are inside the comforts of our new forever home,” Wharton wrote on Lil Twisted’s Facebook page.
Each Wednesday’s menu will feature different items, and for diners who want to add their own twist? “Special requests are accepted and we will do whatever we can to accommodate,” Wharton said.
The Wood is located at 7439 Canton St. in Baldwinsville. Hours are 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 8 p.m. Sunday. For more information, visit facebook.com/thewoodbville or call 315-635-9826.
