Q: Why does your business stand out?
A: I feel that my business stands out because we specialize in unique and original designs for weddings, everyday and sympathy. We love personalizing your special order.
Q: Why did you choose to locate your business/organization in B’ville?
A: I have owned the shop since October 1995, opening first in Cato then moving to Baldwinsville. I moved to Baldwinsville with a love for the community and a desire to be part of such a flourishing village.
Q: What is your favorite part about the B’ville community?
A: After being in Baldwinsville now for a time it feels so wonderful to be part of the community. It’s exciting to share in all the special events that are happening here!
Q: What has been your most satisfying moment in operating your business?
A: The greatest experience I have had is becoming a part of so many lives through sending flower for all occasions. I love doing something different every day and being able to be so creative.
Q: What do you want people to know about your industry?
A: The biggest downfall is competing with the “order gatherers.” I don’t think that the consumer has complete knowledge of the process: the broker charges $14.99 or more to take your order then sends the order to a florist to fill the order, keeping an additional 35% of the consumer’s money. I can’t stress enough to shop local — keep your money local — and create a relationship with a local florist as we are here to help you, even if you are sending out of town flowers.
Q: What is new with your business?
A: We will be offering our flower bar again this holiday season, on Thursdays and Fridays. You can choose your own bouquet by seasonal flowers by stem; therefore, you determine the price point of your bouquet. Our staff is here to assist you in design suggestions. Stop in and get a calendar for 2020, and take a look at our floral/giftware — we would love to meet you!
