Local business AJ’s Archery will be the October Buy Madison “First Wednesday” Business Spotlight. Every first Wednesday of the month, a different business within the county is in the spotlight and offers a night of demonstrations, samples, expanded hours, specials and more.
The October event will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5. AJ’s Archery is located at 3938 Nelson Heights, Cazenovia. Attendees can try the indoor and outdoor archery ranges, receive discounts on select items and pick up Buy Madison promotional items.
AJ’s Archery is family owned and operated. Owner John Laubscher started AJ’s in 2001 as an addition to his gun business that opened in 1980. What started out as a small corner in the shop quickly took over the entire building. They have a state of the art service center with five bow presses and have to ability to tune any bow or crossbow. They also have an in-house gunsmith and an ultrasonic cleaner for firearm repair and cleaning. The remainder of the building is filled with firearms, crossbows, bows, accessories, tree/ladder stands, targets, clothing, muzzleloaders and more.
