The old Fireside Inn is getting a facelift, but it will be nearly a year before it’s open for business once again.
Stan Dombroski, one of the new owners of the Fireside Inn, said renovations picked up in late April and are expected to take at least six to eight months.
“Our plans are to have the bar open with entertainment on Friday, Saturday [and] maybe Sunday afternoons,” said Dombrowski, who purchased the inn with his son, Jonah Dombroski, and Fran Fiorito, owner of Clay’s Euclid Family Restaurant.
The Dombroskis also operate Timber Tavern Bar and Grill on State Fair Boulevard and Timber Tree Service on Church Road.
Previously owned by Cole Realty Holdings, the Fireside Inn closed in 2012.
Stan Dombroski said other plans for the Fireside Inn include an upstairs meeting meeting room that will hold 50 to 75 people and a downstairs banquet room that can accommodate 200.
“The restaurant part itself may not be open for a while,” he said. While they may offer an occasional prime rib special in the future, as for regular walk-in dining, “that may not go for more than a year,” Dombroski said.
