Megan Henderson, a senior at Cazenovia High School, has been selected as the Cazenovia Lions Club Student of the Month for November 2017. Megan is the daughter of Jim and Marta Henderson of Cazenovia.
Megans’s nomination by Bob Oldfield, of the high school staff, reads as follows:
“In addition to maintaining a strong average in school, Megan is a three-sport athlete, member of the Drama Club and current president of Project Café and CAVAC Student Corps. In the past year, Megan has made a special effort to help ensure that classmates of all abilities are able to participate in school and community activities.”
The Cazenovia Lions Club is pleased to recognize Megan for her community and school leadership.
MacKenzie Odell, a junior at Cazenovia High School, has been selected as the Cazenovia Lions Club Student of the Month for December 2017. MacKenzie is the daughter of Suzanne and Chris Odell of Cazenovia.
MacKenzie’s nomination by Kevin Johnson, of the high school faculty, reads as follows:
“Kenzie started this school year by being a volunteer cheer coach for Pop Warner. She would go to the school, have varsity volleyball practice (where she sets up the net for practice) then head to cheer practice. Also, as a musician, she volunteered her entire day on a Saturday helping Cazenovia host All-County auditions. It was a 10-hour day. Kenzie never asks for credit or thinks she is owed something for her volunteering. She does it to help and only to help. She is a ‘go-to’ student of mine, never turns away an opportunity and follows through with her commitments.”
The Cazenovia Lions Club is pleased to recognize MacKenzie for her community and school leadership and service.
Student of the Month nominations can be made by students, school staff members, parents or community members. Nomination forms are available from the principal’s office at Cazenovia High School or from the Cazenovia Lions Club.
