CAMILLUS — Visitors to the Camillus Community Connection Facebook Group can see photographer Todd Tanner’s landscapes and other nature shots almost daily.
Self-taught since he was given a Canon Powershot camera eight or so years back, Tanner captures the depth, detail, and light present in our beautiful Central New York fields, lakes, and villages.
As lovely as his work is when viewed on a cell phone screen, it will be better appreciated in Maxwell Library’s unique exhibit, Chasing Light, on display now through April 28.
In addition to installing larger wall prints of 20 photos, the library has worked with Tanner and his wife Kathy to create a slideshow that will be played on its 75-inch television screen.
More than 40 selections will cycle in a roughly 10-minute loop.
The show will be open to the public any time there isn’t another event scheduled in the community room.
Information on purchasing prints and other products directly from Tanner will be available at the exhibit.
Maxwell Memorial Library is located at 14 Genesee St. in the Village of Camillus.
Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Closed Sundays. For more information on all library news, call 315-672-3661, visit online at maxwellmemoriallibrary.org, or follow the library @maxmemlib on social media.
