From Town of Manlius Supervisor Ed Theobald, Village of Minoa Mayor William Brazil
Village of Fayetteville Mayor Mark Olson and Village of Manlius Mayor Paul Whorrall
The Town of Manlius’ municipalities announce they are initiating Covid 19/Pandemic preparedness procedures and plans for EMS/Fire services, Code Enforcement, Town & Village Clerks, Department of Public Works & Town Highway as well as Town of Manlius Police, Critical Response Committee and court systems for all villages and the Town.
In an effort to safeguard employees as well as the residents, all municipal buildings will have limited access to all visitors. Residents are asked to make appointments to meet with the village or town clerks for any and all normal day-to-day business.
Along with these changes, the fire stations and DPW garages will be closed throughout the town to public access.
The mayors and the town supervisor have been working with the senior centers in all three villages. At this time, the senior centers will be closed for a period that will be determined by each senior center. Visit the village and senior center websites for further information.
All four municipalities are presently working on continuity plans to continue serving the public during this “unprecedented time,” according to the press release from the municipalities.
The mayors along with the town supervisor are together coordinating plans for an inter-municipal agreement to cover working together in all aspects of the duties and functions of the village and town governments.
The press release from the municipalities states: “Our main purpose and goal is to continue to serve the residents in all of our municipalities.”
