See the night sky through telescopes as you’ve never seen it before! Winter skies can be cold, but often give us the clearest, darkest nights that are perfect for star-gazing. At the start of our program, the planet Venus will be sitting near a crescent moon low in the western sky. As they set, the area surrounding the constellation Orion will be rising high in the east. No other section of the sky has as many bright stars, clusters, and nebulae as this one. Note: We will have the parking lot lights turned off for this event, so please be careful when driving in and walking about.
Cloud date: Wednesday, Jan. 29.
The Annual Meeting of the Marcellus Free Library Board of Trustees will be Thursday, Jan. 30 at 7 p.m. Open to the public.
