Detectives arrest three in connection with shooting in Elbridge
The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office reports that detectives have charged three men in connection with a shooting that took place over the summer in the parking lot of the Fastrac in the Village of Elbridge.
On July 21 at approximately 10:56 p.m., sheriff’s deputies responded to the Fastrac located at 100 W. Main St., for a reported shooting with injuries. Deputies investigating the shooting report that the victim and suspect(s) had a verbal dispute which led to one of the suspects brandishing a firearm and shooting the victim in the lower extremity.
After a several month long investigation, detectives identified and recently charged three men in connection with the shooting, which was determined to have occurred during a drug transaction. J’mari Jenkins (20), Davion Garbutt (18) and Ricky Pritchett (22), all from Syracuse, were charged with robbery in the 1st degree. Jenkins and Garbutt were arraigned on December 2nd in Centralized Arraignment Court at which time the judge set bail at $10,000 cash/bond for Jenkins and $5,000 cash/bond for Garbutt. Both men have since posted bail. Pritchett was charged on De. 11 and in addition to the robbery charge, he was also charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the 2nd degree and assault in the 2nd degree. He was arraigned Centralized Arraignment Court with bail set at $20,000 cash/bond.
The victim in this incident had been treated for a non-life threatening injury and has since been discharged from the hospital.
