After years of planning and anticipation, the members of the Manlius Fire Department have announced the opening of their new station, located at 8200 Cazenovia Road, Manlius. They would like to invite members of the community to join on Oct. 15 for the Open House.
The dedication of the new station will take place at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017. At that time Mayor Paul Whorrall and Fire Chief Brad Pinsky, along with the Village of Manlius Board and members of the Manlius Fire Department, will officially open the new station for business. Members of neighboring departments and political dignitaries have been invited to the dedication ceremony.
From noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 15, the members of the Manlius Fire Department will open their doors to the public. Members of the community are encouraged to stop by this family friendly celebration to participate in activities such as: tours of the new station conducted by our fire and EMS personnel, learning about fire and life safety lessons through handouts and demonstrations, learn about programs the fire department offers including our free smoke detector installation program, CPR & First Aid classes, fire extinguisher training and the Explorer Program.
Learn how you can become a volunteer and become a firefighter, EMT, scene support, apparatus/ambulance operator, fire police and more, or how you can use the new community room.
