Library budget passes 136-9

Baldwinsville Public Library held its annual budget vote and trustee election on Thursday, April 27. The budget passed 136 yes votes to 9 no votes.

The proposed library budget for 2017-18 is $1,580,800 with $1,440,800 to be raised by property taxes.  The amount to be raised by taxes is under the New York State Tax Cap.

Robert Manning was re-elected to a five-year term on the board of trustees. The library board of trustees meets regularly once a month and is responsible for policy and general supervision of library finances. 

Current board members are Barbara Aitken, President; Robert Manning, Vice-President; Mary Lou Carpinella, Linda Clarkson, Susan Downey, Craig Maguire and Edward McManus.
