As a result of the ninth edition of the Library Journal Index of Public Service awards, the Fayetteville Free Library (FFL) has been awarded a five-star rating for the eighth time.
Each year, the Library Journal Index of Public Service complies ratings of libraries across the country. Just over 7,300 public libraries were eligible to compete for the award. The Library Journal awarded 260 Star Libraries, ranging from three-star, four-star to the highest five-star award.
The FFL is one of 10 libraries nationally ranked as a five-star within their category. In determining which libraries will receive the awards the Library Journal compares population, library visits, circulation, E-circulation, program attendance, public internet uses and virtual and physical visits.
If you are not familiar with the FFL and what they offer you are can visit the library or schedule a tour by contacting Sue Considine, Executive Director at [email protected].
