Skaneateles Police are investigating a strong arm robbery which occurred at Skaneateles Furs located 36 E. Genesee St in the Village.
According to a release from Skaneateles Chief of Police Dan Coon, at 4:20pm a black male entered the store and asked the clerk for assistance.
As the clerk was showing him different fur coats he came up behind her and put a choke hold on her.He then dragged her behind the register.
She lost consciousness as a result of the choke hold.
The male took her purse and then took several fur coats off the racks and put them in a plastic garbage bag and left the store.
According to the release the suspect’s vehicle was parked on E. Genesee St. near the store facing east.
There was a second male in the car, according to Coon it is unknown if the second male was white or black.
The car was described as a dark four door sedan.
The black male driver was wearing a baseball cap, dark jacket and sunglasses.
Suspect vehicle last seen in vicinity of State St.
The salesclerk was transported to Auburn Hospital as a result of neck pain from being choked.
