Danielle Marnell, owner of Neenee’s Boutique at 204 W. Genesee St. in Fayetteville, said she wants people to know that her business is still going strong — it is just being revamped and expanded with two other specialty shops joining the location at the newly titled ‘The Shoppes at Limestone.’
“Neenee’s is still here, I just got to the point where I wanted to do something new and fresh and bring in people,” said Marnell. Neenee’s opened in September 2011 and offers designer apparel, handbags, jewelry and accessories.
Marnell said she got the idea to bring together several small shops in one location after her parents went to an open house of Two Twisted Sisters in Baldwinsville. Marnell got in touch with the owners and got some ideas from them about expanding Neenee’s into The Shoppes at Limestone.
“It’s a similar concept here, each individual room will have a different boutique,” said Marnell.
One of these specialty shops coming to The Shoppes at Limestone is home decor, furnishings and gift shop a la Maison, owned by Michele Graham. This space in The Shoppes will be the third location of the business, which started in Baldwinsville.
Also new to The Shoppes is Cocli Collection, a French concept store that features a shoe salon, accessories and teas from France, including dresses for women and children. Cocli is owned by Claire Chardon, who is native to Paris.
Marnell is also hoping to enhance the shopping experience by adding Le Café, a coffee and petite tea space for guests to relax in. Eventually, Marnell said she wants to invite groups to start using that space as a meeting area during the day.
“I think that Fayetteville needs something like this, where you can get everything all-in-one,” Marnell said. “You can get designer clothing, something for your home, a pair of cute shoes. You can get everything here as well as relax and get a cup of tea or coffee.”
Marnell said she is hoping to start selling men’s clothing in this upcoming fall season.
A 2011 graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology, Marnell started Neenee’s after she graduated to bring her experience in New York City fashion to her hometown of Fayetteville.
The Shoppes at Limestone will hold an open house at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 28, and a ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 30.
The regular hours for the store at 204 W. Gennesee St. in Fayetteville are 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays.
