Twice more, the Skaneateles girls volleyball team took the court last week, and both of them resulted in one-sided victories.
The Lakers visited Fowler last Wednesday night, and while the Falcons played tough early, Skaneateles still earned a three-set sweep by scores of 25-16, 25-21 and 25-11.
Kelsey Farrell gained seven kills and eight digs, while Natalie Roche earned seven kills and six digs. Kelsey Kraetz matched Farrell and Roche’s total of seven kills, with Mallorie Olin earning three kills.
On the back line, the Lakers continued to split duties. Mia Campanile picked up 10 assists, while Grace Delasin managed nine assists, three kills, two aces and two digs. Malory Davis served up six aces, adding two digs.
Against visiting Mexico on Friday night, the Lakers rolled through the first two sets before slipping a bit in the third set, though it still translated into a 25-7, 25-10, 25-23 sweep of the Tigers.
Olin took on a starring role, picking up nine kills. Farrell had five kills, two aces and two blocks, while Kristina Didio managed three aces. Roche added two kills, two aces and two digs as again, Campanile had a modest showing, earning 11 assists.
Now a pair of tough matches awaited the Lakers (6-1), who visit Homer on Tuesday night before returning home Thursday and battling archrival Marcellus.
