Attention Van Buren residents – there is no parking on town roads between the hours of 2 and 6 a.m., according to the Highway Superintendent Doug Foster. This is to allow the plows to remove any snow that has fallen through the night hours so that school buses along with morning commuters may have a clear road come dawn.
Foster added that if residents suspect a town plow has damaged a home’s mailbox, simply call him and he will come out to inspect the mailbox. If it is determined the mailbox and/or post were damaged by one of the town’s plows, the highway department will replace the damaged property.
Village Engineer Steve Darcangelo made an announcement during the Jan. 3 Village of Baldwinsville board meeting notifying residents to contact the village highway department if they have any snow removal issues.
