For the fourth straight year, Jordan community members will come together on Thanksgiving Day to help put food on the tables of others.
All are invited to take a break from working hard on those Thanksgiving meals and participate in the fourth annual Jordan Turkey Trot to benefit the Jordan-Elbridge Food Pantry. The course runs around the historic village of Jordan. The only registration fee is a canned good to be donated to the JE Food Pantry.
The walk/run kicks off at 9 a.m. Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 22, at the Jordan Masonic Lodge on North Main Street. Donuts, cider and coffee will be served at 8:30 a.m.
Elbridge Town Supervisor Ken Bush calls the event “a nice tradition that is taking hold in the area.”
