The village of Fayetteville just got a bit more stylish.
That’s because on Monday, Danielle Marnell, a 2007 Fayetteville-Manlius High School graduate, opened Neenee’s boutique at 204 W. Genesee St. Marnell graduated with a degree in textiles from New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology in May 2011.
She celebrated a grand opening of the store with family and friends on Thursday.
“Since I was a little girl I always wanted to open a boutique,” she said. “I love it. It’s a lot of work, but I love it.”
Marnell said Neenee’s offers “clothing, accessories and gifts that are vibrant and yet bow to classic styles.” As for the name — she didn’t have to look far.
“It’s my nickname,” she said. “My parents call me that.”
Marnell said she opened the boutique in Fayetteville because “Fayetteville needed something extra, something different.”
Neenee’s boutique, which showcases Marnell’s classic-contemporary style, is just that.
Neenee’s is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday, and from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday.
