The annual Take Back initiative through the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration brought in more than 145 pounds of unused or expired medications in Camillus.
Camillus Police sponsored the drive at the Camillus Walgreens on Saturday, April 28.
The event allowed residents a safe way to rid themselves of medications with no questions asked. The initiative was began as a way to take unused prescription drugs off the street in order to curb drug abuse.
Western Area Volunteer Emergency Services ambulances, Camillus Rotary Club and Walgreens assisted.
