Get ready for Springtime in the Village, the second time around.
From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday April 29, the merchant group of Baldwinsville invites the public to the second annual Springtime in the Village event in which visitors can stroll through downtown Baldwinsville, visiting the various businesses and taking advantage of ‘springtime’ specials.
“[Springtime in the Village] will be a unique day out to kick-off spring. Come and experience the quaint and historic village of Baldwinsville of which we are so proud,” said Stephanie Boivin, one of the event organizers.
In an effort to promote specialty shopping, eateries, salons and the various other businesses in Baldwinsville, this event is designed to make the consumer aware of what the village offers compared with big named stores.
“We believe that an event like this will spearhead a continuing interest in what businesses in our village have to offer. Rather than the mentality that shoppers must go to malls or chain stores to meet all of their shopping needs, they now realize the uniqueness and incredible opportunity to stay closer to home,” said Boivin, who owns Sissy’s in the village.
Participating business include After the Stork, B’s Creations, The Book Cellar, Busy Bee Novelty, The Changing Room, Cottage Designs/Olives Eater, The Gift Shops @ Village Hardware, Kiwi Country, La Tresse by Renee, Mohegan Manor, The Nantucket Cat, Patinka’s, Shacksboro Schoolhouse Museum, Shops on the Lock, Simply Chic, Sissy’s and TLC Gifts.
“We hope [participants] enjoy a day out filled with socializing and discover that our village offers a warm and inviting atmosphere for people to enjoy. Each place has their own individual style to offer something for everyone,” Boivin said. “Specialty shopping, friendly smiles and warm welcomes await you.”
