Baldwinsville officials have teamed up with the Baldwinsville Concert Series Partnership to continue bringing free Tuesday night concerts to residents during the summer.
After approving a new Paper Mill Island fee schedule for 2012, which stated there would be no exemptions and no freebies due to previous years’ losses, the board decided to partner with the series thereby eliminating the $1,000 per day rental fee. A stipulation in the 2012 contract did allow organizations to request a change before the board.
It was determined by officials that the weekly Summer Concert Series, brought to the community by the parks and recreation departments for the towns of Lysander and Van Buren, did not generate a lot of work for the Baldwinsville Department of Public Works, and therefore would not incur losses for the village.
