The Central New York Regional Economic Development Council recently received $103.7 million of in-state economic development funds for 74 projects in Cayuga, Cortland, Madison, Onondaga and Oswego counties.
Owera Vineyards was given $994,000 to improve their facilities on East Lake Road in Cazenovia, and Marquardt Switches Inc. was given $47,700 for special projects at their location on Route 20.
In Madison County, Aquaculture Greenhouse was awarded $150,000; the NY Beef Farmer’s Cooperative was given $250,239; the Madison County Microenterprise Assistance Program received $200,000 and the Stoneleigh Housing RESTORE 2011 project was awarded $75,000.
A total of $785 million was awarded to regional development councils statewide.
The funds are expected to create new jobs and boost the local economies.
