On Nov. 30, New York State Police in Morrisville investigated a two-vehicle, head-on collision which occurred on Constine Bridge Road in the town of Cazenovia.
According to state police, at 11:20 a.m., Amanda Cook, 23, of Sheds, was driving a 2003 Ford Explorer north on Constine Bridge Road when she drifted into the southbound lane. Cook’s vehicle struck a 1999 Ford F-250 pick-up truck, being operated by Almon Rounsaville, 64, of DeRuyter.
Cook sustained a serious leg injury and needed to be extricated from the car. Smith Ambulance transported her to Crouse Hospital in Syracuse for treatment.
Rounsaville was also removed from his vehicle, and transported by CAVAC to University Hospital in Syracuse with a serious leg injury.
Almon Rounsaville Jr., 37, a passenger in the pick-up truck, sustained a serious head injury and was transported by CAVAC to University Hospital.
Cook was ticketed for failure to keep right. Both Rounsaville Jr. and Sr. were issued tickets for failing to wear their seatbelts.
