Lysander residents have chosen a new slate of representatives.
Contender John Salisbury has unofficially won the election for Lysander Town Supervisor with 2,642 votes (62 percent). He unseats incumbent Barry Bullis, who received 1,320 votes (31 percent), and defeated contender Kevin Rode, who received 274 votes.
Running on the Lysander 1st ticket, also known as JAM, Salisbury is joined by fellow party candidates Andrew Reeves and Melinda Shimer, who ran for two Lysander councilor seats receiving 2,606 (32 percent) and 2,033 (25 percent) votes, respectively. Reeves and Shimer were running against Republicans Norm Ashbarry, who received 1,599 votes (19 percent), and Robert Ellis, who received 1,834 votes (22 percent). There were no incumbents in the two councilor seat races.
Voters also selected Lysander 1st candidate Charles Mantione, Jr. for Lysander Town Justice with 2,291 votes (56 percent) unseating incumbent Claire Rutherford, who received 1,793 votes (44 percent).
