There are five incumbents and two newcomers running for positions in the town of Van Buren. While there are no contested races in the Van Buren town government, the Baldwinsville Messenger has compiled brief profiles of the candidates seeking office.

How will you best serve residents?
I believe I will best serve the residents of Van Buren by bringing 37 years of municipal experience to the table to continue bringing responsive, effectual, good, common sense government to the taxpayers.

How will you best serve residents?
I will best serve the residents of Van Buren by setting attainable goals that will directly benefit the community and work hard to achieve them. Four of my main goals are as follows: Interact with the residents of Van Buren and strive to handle their concerns in a timely and professional manner; Work with the residents of Van Buren, employees and officials in all departments within Van Buren, and the surrounding municipalities to continue relations that will promote joint ventures; Develop a plan for reducing salt costs including application techniques while still maintaining public safety; and keep large and unexpected equipment costs to a minimum by setting an aggressive preventative maintenance schedule coupled with a plan for equipment replacing schedule.

How will you best serve residents?
I will continue to cooperate with consolidation and tax savings measures while maintaining efficient services for all the residents of the town.
