The West Genesee/Town of Camillus Sports Hall of Fame will recognize Anne Schmutzler, Kevin Donahue, Jim Ouderkirk, George Mezey, John Desko and the 2001 West Genesee girl’s varsity lacrosse team as this year’s 2011 inductees 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22 at McNamara’s in the village of Camillus.
In 2008, the town of Camillus formed the West Genesee/town of Camillus Sports Hall of Fame to recognize individuals and teams who have excelled in the community.
Past inductees include: John Gibbons, Royce Newell, Bill Ellithorpe, Paul DeLallo, Michael Messere, Tom Kehoskie, Harry Curley, Bob Deegan, Frank DiPino, Dan Hunt, Beth Stewart, Rose Marie and George Surace, Ed Campagna, Rich Homeyer, Jim Rosecrans and Susie Wynne.
Light hors d’oeuvre’s will be served.
The ceremony is free of charge and is open to the members of the public.
