The 165th Great New York State Fair opens at 8 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, and runs thyrough Labor Day, Sept. 5, at the fairgrounds in the town of Geddes. Buildings open at 10 a.m. and remain open until 10 p.m.
Free concerts at Chevy Court include Three Dog Night at 8 p.m. Friday, Curtis Stone at 2 p.m. and Trace Adkins at 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, and Gospel All-Stars at 2 p.m. and KC & The Sunshine Band at 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 28.
Admission costs $10, children ages 12 and younger are admitted free every day of the fair. Seniors ages 60 and older are admitted free on Aug. 29 and Aug. 30. Students 16 and younger are admitted free on, Sept. 2. Parking costs $5: nysfair.org; 487-7711.
