The Presbyterian Church will host an evening of fun, food, music and fundraising from 6 to 8 p.m. May 15 in the Meeting House of the Presbyterian Church off Albany Street in Cazenovia. The Meeting House entrance is on Sullivan Street.
There is no admission charge (donations will be accepted), but bring your checkbook or wallet for some awesome silent auction items. To date we have cruises around Caz Lake and some crazy opportunities to wake board, water ski or tube; a croquet set; dinner for 6 prepared and served by Colleen Pepe, art by local artists; a general admission ticket to the Stone Quarry Hill Art Park’s Finding Art In Nature; an afternoon of cross country skiing with dinner to follow, a morning of rainbow trout fishing at a private stocked pond: fishing poles and lunch provided; a hand-painted room screen; a set flatware from Oneida; a traditional Stickley cherry desk; and even an airplane ride over Cazenovia. Tom Seeley, the Co-President of Caz Cares will donate a script that he wrote for Hanna Montana’s TV show. There is something to please everyone.
There are also some raffle items including overnight stays at the Brewster Inn, Lincklaen House and a Stickley Mission Clock. Raffle tickets are available from church members, the Lincklaen House or at cazpres.com.
CazCares is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 Food Pantry & Clothing Closet. For 28 years, CazCares’ mission has been to provide food, clothing, emergency assistance and referral services to low income families in the Cazenovia School District and surrounding areas of Madison County.
Currently, on average 160 families visit the site per month. Last Year the Cazenovia Presbyterian Church raised almost $7,000 at the event. For more information visit cazpres.org.
