The village of Jordan will turn 175 years old this Sunday, May 2, and the community will celebrate with an inter-religious service at 2 p.m. at the Jordan Episcopal Church, 25 N. Main St. in Jordan.
The 45-minute service will include a history of area churches, a musical guest and a small reception.
The Anniversary Committee is working to plan events throughout the year to mark the village’s quartoseptcentennial, including a village-wide picnic, blue grass festival and self-guided walking tours. The committee will meet next at 6:30 p.m. Monday May 17 at village hall and the public is encouraged to attend.
